Teagan Wilmot
I love incorporating natural elements into my paintings. I love trees, water, and the sky and so these all feature prominently in my work.
I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia where I fell in love with the Indian Ocean, the open sky, and all of the amazing flora and fauna. My love of the natural environment inspired me to study biology and environmental science so that I could make a difference in protecting and preserving these natural wonders. My love of art also began at a very young age. I was surrounded by amazing artwork by Richard Reynolds Ward, my father, who was also very inspired by the natural landscapes of Western Australia. Time spent observing him in his studio and visiting galleries overseas to view the great Impressionists led me to pursue my own art journey. I now hope to share my love of nature with others and to inspire them to take steps to protect our natural world through my artwork.
I am now living in Bellingham, Washington with my husband and son. It is a beautiful part of the world, and we can often be found exploring one of our local trails.
